Coffin leads Saints through day one of Eagle Invitational

STAFFORD, Va.—The Marymount (Va.) University men's golf team teed off in day one of the University of Mary Washington's Inaugural Eagle Invitational at the Augustine Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. The Saints currently sit in third, after collectively shooting 353 (+69).

Freshman John David Coffin made an impressive outing to open the Spring season, shooting 78 (+7) and sitting in ninth through the first 18 holes.  Junior Erik Timlin carded a score of 81 (+10) to earn a 10th-place finish.

Sophomore Daniel Stone and senior Gannon White rounded out the blue and white, shooting 92 and 102, respectively.

North Carolina Wesleyan currently sits in first after collectively shooting 291 (+7). North Carolina Wesleyan's David White currently paces the competition, shooting 72 (+1), through day one.

The Saints will return to the green tomorrow, March 19 for the final round of the tournament.
