ARLINGTON, Va. - Despite not having played in 10 days, the Marymount men's volleyball team maintained its highest-ever ranking in the program's five-year history on Tuesday as the Saints were remained at No. 4 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Men's Coaches Poll.
The top five teams remained the same as well as nine of the top 10. CVC rival Kean moved up one spot to No. 6, switching places with Dominican who fell to No. 7. Vassar moved into the top-10 from No. 11 while Benedictine dropped from No. 10 to No. 12.
The CVC has four teams ranked in this week's poll, including three in the top eight. In addition to Marymount and Kean, Southern Virginia stayed at No. 8 while Eastern Mennonite rose one spot to No. 14. Juniata is also receiving votes.
The Saints currently sit atop the CVC West Division standings with a 4-1 conference record. Marymount has two CVC crossover matches this weekend against the East Division when it travels to Ramapo and Cairn on Friday and Saturday.
