LEXINGTON, Ky. - Another week, another move in the AVCA Top-15 ranking. Marymount men's volleyball has now moved up to the new program best of No. 3 in the nation in Tuesday's latest AVCA ranking, the association announced on Tuesday.
After a 1-0 week for the Saints, a three-set sweep of another Continental Volleyball Conference opponent, they jumped Carthage to reach the top three in the country with a 14-4 overall tally. Marymount played Carthage in the fourth match of the season in Wisconsin, falling 3-1 when Carthage was ranked ninth in the nation. A lot has changed since that match, going 11-2 since January 19.
Marymount is still ranked atop its division in the CVC with a 4-1 record, as its joined in the AVCA Top 15 with No. 5 Kean and No. 11 Southern Virginia. Also, receiving votes is Eastern Mennonite.
The Saints head on the road Wednesday, March 7 for their final road match of the regular season, traveling to Stevenson University for a 7 p.m., start.
