ARLINGTON, Va. -- Head of Sports Medicine, Ryan Wildenhain, and the rest of the Sports Medicine staff for the Marymount athletics department are currently selling military-inspired Marymount Athletics t-shirts to raise money for an important organization, The Wounded Warrior Project.
Wildenhain, a veteran himself, started up this fundraiser in hopes to raise as much money as possible for a great cause. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) has a big, audacious goal: to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. WWP offers 20 holistic programs to wounded service members and their caregivers completely free of charge and 100% of the funds raised through this event go directly to Wounded Warrior Project to help fuel these programs.
The Sports Medicine staff will be selling the shirts in person at the both basketball doubleheaders next week, Wednesday, February 7 and Saturday, February 10. If you cannot attend, please email Ryan at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your size is available.
The shirts run for $15, unless you are a veteran, active duty or ROTC member; those exceptions are $10.
To further help the cause, Wildenhain has started a donation page here.
