LANCASTER, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announced its first-ever, all-conference teams on Tuesday, and Marymount University men's basketball sophomore Steve Etienne was named to the second team for the first time in his career.
Etienne has come on strong for the Saints this season, playing in 27 games and starting 24. He leads the team with 10.8 points per game and has scored in double-digits in nine of the team's last 15 contests.
He has also been a dynamic defensive force for the Saints. He currently sits third in the Atlantic East in both block shots (32) and steals (60), which are both first on the team. Etienne also leads the team and ranks sixth in the league with 6.9 rebounds per game.
Etienne and the Saints continue their season on Wednesday, February 27 at Misericordia University in the Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament first round; the game is set for 7 p.m.
