LANCASTER, Pa. – Marymount University men's lacrosse sophomore Clark Akers was honored with his third Atlantic East Conference Offensive Player of the Week award of the year, the league announced on Monday.
Akers had a career week for the Saints, helping the team to a pair of conference wins over Immaculata University, 15-2, on Wednesday and Neumann University, 18-8, on Saturday.
Against the Knights, Akers set a career high with 10 points in the game, including six goals and four assists. With the effort, he set the men's lacrosse program record for points in a season, as he currently sits at 66 points.
In the win over the Mighty Macs, he tallied three goals and two assists for a team-high five points.
Akers previously was named the Offensive Player of the Week on March 4 and March 25.
The Saints will be back on the field on Wednesday, April 17 in their final regular season game, traveling to Cabrini University in conference play; the game is set for 4 p.m.
