Saints Drop Final Regular Season Game On The Road

RADNOR, Pa. - The Marymount University men's lacrosse team traveled to No. 7 Cabrini University in an Atlantic East Conference matchup, falling 21-6.

Cabrini opened with the game's first three goals, but senior Matthew Ebert got the Saints on the board at the 2:12 mark, after a Cavaliers' turnover, taking an assist from sophomore Jonah Mackiewicz. Exactly two minutes later, freshman Riley Scales brought the Saints to within one, with the first quarter ending, 3-2. 

The Cavaliers pulled away in the second quarter with 11 goals, taking a 14-4 lead into the half.

Junior Michael Burns found the back of the cage for the Saints in the third quarter, taking an assist from Scales, before the team found three goals in the fourth. 

Scoring two unanswered goals to open the fourth quarter, Ebert notched his second of the day, and freshman Troy Tangolics found the back of the net for his first.

Cabrini quickly answered before Mackiewicz hit the net to end the day's scoring. 

Ebert led the team with two goals in the game, while Mackiewicz and Scales each notched two points on a goal and an assist.

Senior netminder Grey Clarkson played the first 45 minutes, making 15 saves, while classmate Patrick Ruleman played between the pipes for the final 15 minutes, tallying four saves.
