LANCASTER, Pa. – Marymount University men's soccer freshman Leonardo Luna and senior Rodney Ngoh were named the Atlantic East Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, the league announced on Monday.
The pair helped lead the Saints to three wins last week over Gallaudet University, 5-1, Bryn Athyn College, 4-3, and the College of Saint Elizabeth, 5-0.
Luna earned his first-ever Atlantic East Offensive Player of the Week award, after leading the Saints with nine points across the three wins. He scored two goals, each, against Gallaudet and Bryn Athyn. He added an assist against the Lions.
He only needed eight shots on the week to net the four scores.
Ngoh also earned his first Atlantic East weekly award, being named the Defensive Player of the Week.
He finished the Saints' week with three goals for six points. He tallied two goals against St. Elizabeth, while notching one against Gallaudet.
Ngoh scored the game-winning goals in both contest.
The Saints will return to the field on Wednesday, September 18 at Wilson College; the opening touch is set for 4:30 p.m.
