Men's soccer selected to ECAC tournament, set to take on Muhlenberg in first round

DANBURY, Conn. – The Marymount University men's soccer team saw its season extended on Monday evening, earning a selection into the Eastern College Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Championship tournament.

The No. 4-seed Saints were selected to Pod 3 and will travel to No. 1-seed Muhlenberg College on Saturday, November 16 to begin the first round of action, with the game set for 11 a.m.

Marymount has enjoyed a record-setting season, having set the program record for wins in a season with 10. The team currently holds a 10-9-1 record and advanced to the Atlantic East Conference semifinals, falling in a penalty-kick shootout to Immaculata University.

In the Atlantic East tournament, the Saints defeated Gwynedd Mercy University, with goals from senior Rodney Ngoh and freshman Jesus Rios, in a first-round contest to advance to the semifinals.

This season, marks the first time the Saints have competed in postseason play since the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference tournament.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to game three of the first round against the winner of another Pod 3 matchup between No. 2-seed New York University and No. 3-seed Hood College.
