ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Marymount men's swim team sits in sixth as they head into the final day of the CAC Championships on Sunday, currently holding 165 points as a team.
Several of those points came from junior Ian Griffin and freshman Max Klemm in the 100-yard butterfly on Saturday evening. In the morning preliminary session, Griffin qualified for the finals in eighth with a time of 53.88, then moved up a spot in the finals to finish seventh with a time of 53.16. A strong performance, it still doesn't beat his 2017 CAC Championship performance that ranks him third in program history with a time of 52.16.
Klemm's finals time of 53.82, good enough for 10th overall, moved him into the program's top 10 where he now sits eighth.
The Saints conclude the four-day event on Sunday.
