LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior Isaiah Jones, of the Marymount University men's swimming team, was named the Atlantic East Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the first time, the league announced on Monday.
Jones paced the Saints in their 151-25 victory over Immaculata University, earning two individual first-place finishes; he also was a part of the Saints' team that won the 200-yard freestyle relay.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Jones posted a time of 22.17 seconds, winning the event by more than three seconds. He then took first in the 100-yard freestyle in 48.79 seconds to win by more than two seconds.
Jones then helped the Saints post a time of 1:32.82, more than seven-seconds better than the second-place team, to win the 200 freestyle relay.
The Saints will next be in action at Gallaudet University on Friday, November 16; the meet is set to begin at 6 p.m.
