Men's swimming garners six top finishes against Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. – The Marymount University men's swimming team fell in Atlantic East Conference competition on Saturday, 108-86, to Cabrini University.

The Saints had a productive day in the pool, grabbing first in six events, beginning the day in the 200-yard medley relay. Seniors Ian Griffith and Isaiah Jones, junior Tedd Pham, and sophomore Max Klemm posted a time of 1:42.71 to take the race.

Jones notched two individual gold medals on the day to lead the team. He finished the 50-yard freestyle in 22.19 seconds, before taking the 100-yard freestyle in 48.78 seconds.

Pham and Klemm also added individual firsts. Pham won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:08.22, while Klemm finished the 100-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 54.30 seconds.

Griffith also set a season-best time in the 100 fly, taking second in 55.90 seconds.

The sixth first-place finish came from junior Nicholas DiSanti in the 100-yard backstroke, as he posted a career-best time of 58.68 seconds.

The Saints got another second-place spot from junior Matthew Landivar, as he recorded a time of 1:14.54 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Marymount closed the day in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Klemm, Pham, Griffith, and DiSanti took second in 1:33.03.

The Saints will return home to the Lee Center Pool on Saturday, February 2 to host Frostburg State University; the meet is set for 2 p.m.
