Jones, Griffith Highlight Senior Day With Strong Performances

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Marymount University men's swimming team ended the regular season on Saturday afternoon against Frostburg State University, dropping a 114-88 decision, but seniors Isaiah Jones and Ian Griffith performed well in their final home meet of their career.

Jones collected two individual top finishes in freestyle events. He took first in the 50-yard free in a time of 22.26 and followed it later with a first-place finish in the 100 free, touching the wall in 49.16.

Griffith grabbed a second-place finish in the 50 butterfly, coming up just .27 seconds short of the top spot with a time of 25.49. He also added a third-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.42.

The senior duo, along with junior Tedd Pham and sophomore Max Klemm, teamed up to take first in the 200 medley relay to open the meet.

That wasn't the last you'd see Pham and Klemm at the front of races, as each of them took individual top finishes as well. Pham went two-for-two with a win in the 100 IM (55.58) and another in the 50 breast (29.36). Klemm grabbed first in the 50 back (26.60), while taking third in the 100 IM (56.92).

The Saints will rest up and return to the pool for the first-even Atlantic East Conference Championships in a week and a half. The three-day event will start on Friday, February 15 at Marywood University.
