Saints take fifth at Greene Turtle Invitational

FRONT ROYAL, Va. – The Marymount women's golf team completed its second tournament of the Fall season on Sunday afternoon, taking fifth place at the two-day Greene Turtle Invitational with a team score of 724 (+148). 

Playing at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club, the Saints were against paced by junior Alessandra Bertacche and senior Alexis Miller, coming in at fourth and seventh place, respectively. Bertacche hit two rounds of 83 (+11), while Miller carded an 84 (+12) on day one and followed with an 85 (+13). 

Junior Brandie Hartzell grabbed a 22nd-place finish in her first tournament of the year, carding rounds of 87 and 93 for a total tournament of 180 (+36). 

Seniors Rebecca Rizy (213) and Courtney VanWie (217) rounded out the Marymount squad for the weekend in 34th and 36th, respectively. 

The Saints get into their third tournament of the Fall season this Saturday, September 23, heading to Harrisonburg, Virginia for the two-day Bridgewater Invitational.
