Saints sit fifth through day one of Bridgewater Fall Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Behind strong rounds by senior Alexis Miller and junior Alessandra Bertacche, the Marymount women's golf team sits in fifth through day one of the Bridgewater Fall Invitational on Saturday with a total score of 354 (+66). 

The duo each carded 79 (+7) to open the two-day tournament, as they both sit tied for sixth place out of a field of 54 golfers. 

Junior Brandie Hartzell wasn't far behind, putting together a round of 85 (+13) in her second tournament of the season. 

Seniors Rebecca Rizy (111) and Courtney VanWie (116) closed out the rest of the Saint squad on Saturday, as they sit 46th and 48th entering Sunday's final round. 

The five Saints look to climb the leaderboard on Sunday for the last 18 holes of the event at the Lakeview Golf Club.
