Trojillo, Carvelli set career lows in second day of Greene Turtle Invitational

FRONT ROYAL, Va. – The Marymount University women's golf team finished out the Greene Turtle Invitational on Sunday at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.

The Saints were paced by senior Brandie Hartzell, for the second-straight day. She shot an 84 (+13) to bring her 36-hole total for the event to 166 (+24), which was good to tie for 15th.

Freshman Denise Isabel Trojillo came back strong during play in day two, carding an 80 (+9) to finish just one stroke back of Hartzell for the weekend at 167 (+25) to tie for 18th. Her 80 marks her lowest-career round as a Saint.

Classmate Gina Carvelli set a career-low for the second-consecutive round, shooting a 94 (+23) during day-two action. She finished the event 35th with a 189 (+47).

Marymount will be back in action on Saturday, October 13 in Elkton, Md., to compete in The Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic at Patriots Glen National Golf Club.
