Saints hold second through first day of Shenandoah Spring Invitational

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – The Marymount University women's golf team began the Shenandoah Spring Invitational at the Royal Links of St. Cloud on Thursday, currently sitting in second with a 393 (+105) after round one.

Two Saints placed in the top five of the standings after day one.

Senior Alessandra Bertacche tied for second with an 89 (+17), while freshman Denise Isabel Trojillo finished tied for fourth, carding a 92 (+20).

A trio of freshmen closed out the round for the Saints, led by Victoria Zarkadas in 10th with a 101 (+29). Gina Carvelli carded a 111 (+39) for 13th, and Janlynn Ngo tallied a 114 (+42) for 14th.

The Saints will continue with the second day of action on Friday, March 15 for the Shenandoah Invitational.
