COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Marymount University women's golf team earned its first team victory of the season on Sunday, taking first in the Catholic University Invitational with a 340 (+56).
The Saints finished with four in the top 10, while freshman Denise Isabel Trojillo earned an individual win by tying for first with an 82 (+11).
Senior Alessandra Bertacche took fourth in the round, carding an 84 (+13).
Coming in at sixth and seventh, respectively, senior Brandie Hartzell finished with an 86 (+15), and freshman Victoria Zarkadas notched an 88 (+17).
The Saints' day was rounded out by freshmen Gina Carvelli and Janlynn Ngo. Carvelli took 19th with a 107 (+36), while Ngo placed 20th with a 117 (+46).
Marymount will return to action on Saturday, March 30 in the Eagles Invitational at Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, Va.
