Four finish in top 20 as Saints take first at Eagle Invitational

STAFFORD, Va. – The Marymount University women's golf team continued the strong start to its spring season, taking first in the Eagle Invitational, hosted by the University of Mary Washington at Augustine Golf Club, carding a 681 (+113).

The Saints saw four finish in the top-20 spots, led by senior Alessandra Bertacche; she placed second overall with a 158 (+16).

Senior Brandie Hartzell also placed in the top 10, taking ninth with a 172 (+30).

Freshmen Victoria Zarkadas and Denise Isabel Trojillo finished 13th and 18th, respectively. Zarkadas carded a 174 (+32), and Trojillo tallied a 177 (+35).

Freshman Gina Carvelli rounded out the weekend for the Saints, finishing in 26th with a 197 (+55)

The Saints next travel to the Country Club of York for The Spartan Invitational, beginning on Saturday, April 6.
