FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - In the final Capital Athletic Conference award recognition for the Marymount women's lacrosse program, three Saints were tabbed Second-Team All-Conference on Wednesday morning, the league announced.
Seniors Abby Wescott and Liah Agouras and junior Bridgette Stacom all earned a spot on second team, as it's Wescott and Agouras' third-straight appearance and Stacom's first collegiate postseason award.
Heading into the ECAC tournament on Wednesday night, the trio has already made marks in program history. Wescott owns the program's career points, career assists, single season assists, and single game assists records. Agouras is second in program history in single season caused turnovers, top 10 in single season ground balls, seventh in career ground balls, and third in career caused turnovers. Stacom is second in program history in single season draw controls, third in career draw controls, 11th in career caused turnovers, and 13th in career goals.
All three with decorated careers at Marymount, and it continues this week when Marymount looks to defend its 2017 ECAC title, the first in program history. The Saints open the tournament up on Wednesday night, May 9, hosting Pfeiffer University at Long Bridge Park at 7 p.m., for the first round. The Falcons are new to Division III this season, finishing up their final DII year in 2017.
