HARRISBURG, Pa. - Marymount women's soccer sophomore Gabby Cabrales scored her third goal of the season, but Penn State Harrisburg scored three first-half goals en route to a 5-1 CAC victory Saturday at home.
The Saints (2-11-2, 1-7-0 CAC) were limited to just five shots in dropping their fifth-straight contest.
Cabrales is now second on the team in goals behind classmate Karen Reyes who has four. Cabrales' goal in the 83rd minute snapped Marymount's scoreless streak at 370:14.
The Nittany Lions (11-6-0, 4-4-0 CAC) scored three goals in the game's first 28:56, two of which came from leading scorer Kristen Stark who leads the team with 13 goals and 27 points this season.
Penn State Harrisburg's first two goals came exactly two minutes apart in the 11th and 13th minute before Stark adding her second in the 29th off a double assist.
The Nittany Lions added their final two goals midway through the second half just five minutes apart in the 70th and 75th minute.
Marymount was outshot 21-5, including 14-1 in the first half, while junior Sydney Sherman finished with seven saves.
The Saints conclude the 2017 season on the road at No. 8 Christopher Newport on Wednesday.
