RADNOR, Pa. – The Marymount University women's swimming team competed in its final Atlantic East Conference meet of the regular season on Saturday, falling to Cabrini University, 132-68.
Junior Hayley Elizondo led the way for the Saints, posting two first-place finishes, bringing her season total to 16. She posted a season-best time in the 200-yard individual medley (2:13.17), while finishing the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.78.
Elizondo also helped the Saints take first in the 200-yard medley relay, teaming with senior Claire Cassidy and juniors Isabel Grimm and Jessie Bricker. They posted a time of 1:59.78 for the top spot.
Grimm added the Saints' third individual first-place finish, taking the 100-yard backstroke in 1:05.36, setting a career-best time.
Senior Taylor Plumley notched two second-place finishes. She began the day in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.51, before following that with a 5:39.71 time in the 500-yard freestyle.
Bricker also grabbed a second-place spot, posting a season-best time in the 100-yard freestyle (59.27s).
The team closed the day with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Plumley teamed with sophomore Claudia Beuchert and freshmen Kahley Alteri and Madeline DeMarco for a time of 1:58.24.
The Saints will return home to the Lee Center Pool on Saturday, February 2 to host Frostburg State University; the meet is set for 2 p.m.
