COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Marymount University men's and women's swimming teams were honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America as Scholar All-America teams for the 2019 spring semester.
Marymount was a part of a record-number 480 institutions recognized by the CSCAA. In order to qualify for the award, teams must achieve a 3.0 grade-point average for the semester.
The Saints saw the women's team garner a 3.25 GPA, while the men posted a 3.06 GPA.
The men's team also was named a Scholar All-America team in the fall season, as well, and have not been named to the list four times. The first two came in the springs semesters of 2011 and 2010.
The women's selection was their sixth, also earning the honor in the falls of 2016 and 2011 and the springs of 2014, 2012, and 2011.
