DANBURY, Conn. – Marymount University women's volleyball senior Caroline Hanson's postseason awards continue to roll in, as she was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III women's volleyball All-ECAC team, the league announced.
Hanson finished the year as the team's leader with 340 kills and 54 service aces, while also ranking second with 290 digs and 49 total blocks. Her kills and aces were good for third in the Atlantic East Conference, as well, and she ranked second in the Atlantic East and 24th in the country with 4.66 points per set.
She helped Marymount to one of its most successful seasons in program history, leading the team to the Atlantic East tournament championship in the league's first season, for the program's first conference title, while being named the tournament Most Valuable Player. The Saints also earned their first-ever NCAA Division III tournament berth, on the year.
On top of the conference tournament MVP, she was also named the Atlantic East Co-Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Atlantic East first team, along with selections to the American Volleyball Coaches' Association All-East Region team and honorable mention All-America team.
