Women's Cross Country Completes Hornet Harrier

KERNSTOWN, Va. - The Marymount University women's cross country team ran in its first competition since September 7 on Saturday, running the Hornet Harrier 5K at Kernstown Battlefield, hosted by Shenandoah University.

Senior Kaitlyn Reed led the Saints with a 65th-place finish out of the 146 runners, clocking a time of 23:00.4. She was followed by sophomore Carly Merrill in 84th with a time of 23:59.5. 

Junior Samantha Gimon raced to a time of 27:51.5 for 125th, and junior Grace Smith rounded out the group with a time of 30:24.0 for 132nd. 

The Saints return to action next Saturday, October 5 at the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
